Twitter is all about connecting with people and creating a community. We all know that. If you use it for your home business, how do you increase your reach?
There are several ways to increase your followers, both manually and with automation tools. If you are just starting out, I highly recommend doing it manually for quite some time, until you are comfortable with how Twitter works. It also helps to understand who your audience is. Manual is all I’ll focus on in this article.
If you are posting content that people find interesting, then they will find you, and follow you. I’ve been on Twitter for about three years, and started out doing it to learn about social media, but also to start building my personal brand. I thought I was pretty hot stuff when I hit 100 followers. That took about two years.
When I started marketing my own online business, I got more active on Twitter, and within one month, my followers increased by over 200 people. And that was just because of my content. I was not proactively looking to increase my followers. Now I have a daily routine to grow my community by the hundreds, and to expand my business.
